Fulcrum offer SIL assessment services, including all mainstream methods of SIL classification including RGA, LOPA, Matrix. Fulcrum also refer to company specific guidance for applying the SIL classification at this stage of the FS lifecycle.
Fulcrum can carry out SIL verification calculations to assess whether the installed/proposed hardware can meet the requirements of the target SIL. This can be done using a variety of methods, including specialised software applications or fault tree analysis.
Fulcrum are able to carry out FSA at any lifecycle stage, such as at stage 3 as part of final commissioning or stage 4 for process plants that have been in production for some time.
Fulcrum can also assist with the design of specific safety functions where SIL2 or SIL3 requirements are to be met. This can be carried out, complementing the work carried out by the incumbent design contractor.
Fulcrum can provide detailed proof test procedures to ensure that all the requirements of IEC-61511, EEMUA222 and the guidance from the Health and Safety Executive are included.
Fulcrum can carry out alarm reviews based on the guidance in EEMUA191 and perform periodic status reviews to ensure that alarm systems are functioning efficiently and providing the correct operator feedback.
Fulcrum offer functional safety training in a flexible setting or via our online computer-based traning portal. We can offer tailored training packages to meet your specific requirements.
Fulcrum can carry out review services on project or operational documentation and drawings, including SIL assessment guidelines and company tolerability tables.
Fulcrum can prepare detailed FS management plans in accordance with the requirements of IEC-61511 for each lifecycle stage from hazard and risk assessment to decommissioning.

The retention duration for Personal Information is based on the requirements of the business and legal requirements. As a company we don’t send Personal Information outside the EU, as our services only operate within the EU. However, we use cloud/web-based services such as Dropbox, and SharePoint on a regular basis. These servers for these services may be located outside the EU. An assessment of the security and use of these services has been conducted as part of Fulcrum Data Audit.
